Man accused of reckless driving currently faces drug charges

A man who reportedly ran his motor vehicle into a church back in 2015 is now facing drug-related charges in connection with a separate incident in Illinois. The man was recently arrested on the drug charges at around 1:45 a.m. on a Thursday. He is 22 years old.

In August 2015, a motor vehicle went through a church's wall one night at a little past 8:30 p.m. The man ended up facing a reckless driving charge after allegedly losing control of his car and striking the building. The man is now said to have provided 4.6 grams of a drug to someone else back in January of this year as well.

The drug that the man allegedly provided was powdery and white and contained cocaine. The man's specific charges include manufacturing/delivering cocaine as well as drug possession. He was able to post bond on the morning of his arrest and thus was released from jail.

Facing drug charges in Illinois can understandably be unsettling, as these types of charges may have lifelong impacts if they turn into convictions. However, anyone accused of possessing or manufacturing/delivering drugs has the right to fight these charges aggressively. An attorney can closely examine the evidence that the prosecution intends to present at trial to support the charges and then find weaknesses in the prosecution's case in an effort to preserve the defendant's reputation and freedom. The attorney will also strive to ensure that none of the client's rights are violated during any stage of the criminal proceedings.
