DUI charges result from fatal car accident

The aftermath of a car accident can lead to a great deal of concern and confusion. The SUV struck a tree and overturned after leaving the roadway. The woman was able to get out of the vehicle, but the 33-year-old male passenger was trapped.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the woman outside the vehicle, and measures were taken to extricate the man from the SUV. Unfortunately, the accident resulted in his suffering severe injuries, which he succumbed to after being taken to the hospital. The driver was also taken to the hospital where blood and urine tests were conducted. The results allegedly indicated that the woman’s blood alcohol concentration level was three times the legal limit. As a result, she is facing a charge for aggravated driving under the influence.
